Honestly, they're OK. But they're nothing special. I've seen much better work from you :D. I think you need to grab your camera, and go out and shoot a bit more (or stay in and shoot more).

I like the idea quite a bit, but I am not so fond of the shot. Try backing up a bit; the tackle box and the water (I assume that is what they are) are really part of the story so they don't need to be cropped and blurred so heavily. Think about taking a great fly fishing picture rather than just a picture of the lures.

I agree that the idea of the artificial bait is a good one. But none of the shots calls it to me.
Selective coloring seems forced, composition does not draw me in, and even extra soft PS does not help.
In all fairness, I'd rather consider this image as a ground material for the WA #32 mwink.gif

    Heh..OK, I'm not done yet
I still have ideas to take this further. Liquid Air, I agree with the idea of the bigger picture and have that up my sleeve but do not have the mountain ranges and streams here in the city....but......Have a great shot in my mind's eye...now to execute it.

Pyro...thanks......I kind of feel like a batter, 0 for 3 with one more at bat....I'll keep shooting thumb.gif

Nik....heh buddy, ouch...WA #32???? geez, I didn't think it was that bad. Really though, thank you for your candor. For some reason this challenge has been giving me fits...it's like I've lost something (not that I have) but....hard to explain. Anyway, It's about standing despite the winds of unsureness (nice word huh?). I'm keeping at it but most of all, I'm growing even if the results aren't readily available for viewing.

    Thanks..you're all the greatest!bowdown.gif

    Some more thoughts:

This shot is in desparate need of a visual center. Pick one lure and feature it in your story with the others wating in the wings.

Work on a composition which draws the eye to your story.

Think about putting grandpa in the shot.
