Just got my new 85mm f1.8. Pretty sweet little lens.

    And yes I do love this lens! It's the first dedicated portrait lens I have owned in years. It's not a very versatile lens in my book, but what it does, it does very well.wings.gif

    It's not a very versatile lens in my book, but what it does, it does very well.wings.gif

    you'll be suprised, using primes can open a whole new world of creative restriction! I've shot entire events using it alone, lots of low-light fun for all! rolleyes1.gif

    I really like the 85-- if I could get away with always shooting with it, I would :)

    One thing about her pose-- the crossed arms make for a very closed off person. Are there other shots with a more open pose?
