In bloom at the University of California Davis - 5/7/2007 5:30PM. The odor is true to the name! Opens for about 24 hours.

    The bloom is about 2 1/2 feet across at this point.

    Hey, is that the flower that Mr. Wilson was growing in Denis The Menace the movie? Anyways awesome flower that thing is huge.

    Lovely photo! I wanted to see this when it was blooming somewhere locally a few years ago. I can't rremember where it was but that's fantastic that you got the opportunity.

    I'm also glad you can't smell through photos. ;)

    The wires take the temperature of the central segment of the plant. As the plant comes into full bloom, it gets progressivly more hot. At the time of the photo, the room was 90' and the central segment was approximately 105'
