Hi all,

First time poster here. Just got back from the Smokies and ripped this from the deck of our cabin. I won't tell you the company we rented from, as their service was severely lacking, and I don't want to promote them. I am happy with this shot though...giddy, actually. It is the jewel of my trip.

I cannot wait to go back.

    Welcome to Dgrin!

Beautiful shot, it deserves to be posted bigger!! I've hiked many miles in those mountains (but not a tenth the amount of my dad!).

Thanks very much for the kind words, Chris. Yeah, I had this smaller version handy, so I used it. Once I get my Smugmug Pro account fired up, I'll post larger images...I guess I'm still paranoid about them being lifted...but the more I read, the more it seems the ability to fully protect without turning off customers is very limited.

    Thanks again.

Beautiful! I love the depth of the hills. It looks like they go on forever!

Yep, especially when you're posting to a photography site! Even 800px wide would give a better "feel" for the image, and isn't very printable.

    Looking forward to seeing more!
