If you're up for a road trip, and you get no one here wanting to sell, you may check on this...

Might also watch these link for a D70/D70s...

I also suspect a D100 could be another option for you... Takes the same battery and you could find one for $300-500.

    Good luck man...

    I also suspect a D100

In your personal opinion is the D100 a better unit?

6 of one... half a dozen of the other... I consider it the older brother to the D70. I can tell you that the D100 is a bit different in the controls. The D100 also offers a base (MB-D100) with a port shutter button, all the wheels and the AE/AF lock. It also holds 2 batteries, but the controls take some getting used to. ISO, WB, Quality and Meter Mode is on the top dial. Capable to 6400ISO with usable 1600, and sometimes 3200. It also does JPG, TIF & RAW formats. I have my 2nd D100.

Here's my first copy that I sold to a friend because he was ready to join the digital world:

Here's more reading material for you:

BTW, you need to proof your posts in the future. You're always deleting the [ /QUOTE ] from the previous post you're quoting. That needs to stay. OK?
