Damn cats and children move to fast for me. But not John. Nope, he's steady as a rock and posed as if he were blissfully unaware of my existance. :D
Ready for your close-up, Mr. Lennon?
Thank you, the second one is a good profile (first one's too busy, IMHO) thumb.gif

My grand grand father was a popular poet in Setubal.
He was a poor worker in the harbour.
    António Maria Eusébio .
Wow, you have quite a heritage!

Nice picture, but IMHO a bit too busy. Bad light, busy b/g... I'd reshoot at a different time of day, dawn or dusk, it would hide the b/g and will help with the primary subject. deal.gif

    I agree with you.
I was passing in that park some hours ago and I could feel the light was harsh.

Next time. But it fulfills the goal. thumb.gif

My heritage: he could not read or write. He was working in the ships. Putting some kind of stuff between the wood for the water not to go in. Do you understand ? Hope so.
He dictated the popular poems to someone who could write.! Incredible.eek7.gif

Heritage. Noble heritage. Working heritage. Proletarian heritage. :D

I got my husband to pose for some portrait practice for me tonight, but before he started being cooperative I took this shot (he's playing a game on his cell phone here):
    161609675-M.jpg

And then I just love snapping photos of my dog and she turned away for a pleasant profile :)
    161609661-M.jpg

The goal of my photos this evening were more portrait in nature so those are the only profiles I managed to capture.

Good one on the hubby! thumb.gif
On the dog, you can see his/her both eyes, I'm afraid this won't qualify... ne_nau.gif

Dark profile, but not quite a silhouette.

I think it looks soft because of a really narrow DOF. I was practicing using my 50/1.8 at church and I was keeping it at f2 I think. I think the girl on the right has her ear in focus, but the girl on the left is past the area in focus. I think. mwink.gif

    What do you think?
