    Ric,

Thanks. ...and actually, he made it appear even more effortless than that. He did his jump from a standing position about two feet on the other side of the fence.

    Stephen,

Thanks. I was about 40 feet away shooting with a Canon Rebel XTi with a EF 100-400 mm lens set to 115 mm (about 185 mm with the conversion factor).

    Marina,

Thank you for your comments. I don't know how old he is. The antlers are still growing. It must be the weird weather we are having along with the drought here in the southeast. There are some fawns running around (see below). Here it is late June and there are still many pregnant does running around which I understand is relatively late in the summer. From the shape of the antlers on the bucks, they are all still in the growth process.

BTW, I call the photo below Hiding in Plain Sight.

Nice one Dixie ..... during my stays in USA, I got to see a few Deer jump over fences, and was shocked at how they just up and over it eek7.gif

At my friends house they have a little vegie patch, and the deer kept coming in and eating the produce, so they put up an electric fence.

Deer soon figured that one out too, and walk up to the fence and simply jump over it and continue to eat their produce rolleyes1.gif now they don't bother turning the electric fence on rolleyes1.gif

    Great shot thumb.gif ... Skippy

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
