Anybody here ever dealt with eBay Express? I am shopping around for my first DSLR and they have some (seemingly) awesome kits for the 30D and the XTi. I have never purchased anything from the site and was wondering if anybody here has any feedback they could give me. Thanks!

It looks the same as eBay to me, except with buy-it-now as the only option. You're still dealing with various vendors.

I'd be just as careful with eBay Express as with a purchase on eBay.

In order to Sell on Ebay Express you must be a power seller and be approved by Ebay as a verified seller with a rating of 99% or higher I believe. Anycase the sellers on Ebay Express are the cream of Ebay's crop.

Also all your products must be new products. You can pretty much rest assure sellers on Express have had 1000's if not 10'000's of sells.

    Hope that helps.

Thank you very much, you just never know about things that are seemingly too good to be true. . I suppose I could have read and found out for myself but this was much easier :D I appreciate the response and it looks like I may be purchasing from the site soon!

    According to this eBay document:

    http://pages.ebay.com/sell/announcement/overview/express.html

"eBay Express merchants will be experienced eBay sellers with a Feedback score of at least 100 (98% positive) and a public feedback profile."

... so the merchant must have sold at least 100 items with a 98% positive feedback.

The current marketing page is here:

Note especially the conditions page of the "Buyer Protection":
