perfomed to her (another one scheduled soon) and a lot of turmoil with the death of her grandfather, yet this young princess from my church always has a smile for anyone. I wanted to capture that today, at the church playground.

What do you think?

Cute girl and nice pose. I think your photo is too oversaturated and causing her skin to look quite yellow (at least on my monitor). I would desaturate first and see where that takes you. :D

Wow - very strong and lovely young lady.

I have to agree with saurora about the PP. Here's an idea of what you might want to do with it.

    Processing:

-10 on saturation (and it still might be a little over-saturated)
+10, -10, +10 in the color balance dialog

Wow, what a pretty girl. Sorry she's been through such tragedy in her short life.

That's a good and necessary first step. The next step might be to read some of the tutorials on DGrin. Here's a good one on pleasing skin tones and how to get them (link). All I did when working on your first photo was to follow those guidelines. Your screen and eyes may lie to you, but the numbers - those can usually be trusted (but, not always!).
