Hi Mel,I would say that is different.Looks like it took time to put it together.
To me,the colors are not right.Cant put my finger on it.
Maybe a softer set of colors.

Well, I can't speak for the other you folks here but I have a couple of thoughts. It's a very cool idea, and a neat base image. I kinda agree... colors that are more complimentary and unconventional would enhance the effect. And it feels kinda flat - any way to add some dimension to the original shot?
I think for the iris color the background colors are too primary and harsh on the eyes.
What is your thinking behind this project?
Just curious as to what you are trying to do or say...
I was trying to put together something other than a simple Iris photo. The red/blue and black/white were intended to be a somewhat jarring contrast to the soft and lovely Iris. I guess I succeed but I knew that some would like it and some wouldn't. I was hoping to make people think. One never knows until you try.
I have a more complementary color pair version in the works. Watch this space.

I remember this project. I like it. The colors do seem a little harsh though.
I think you have another version of it dont you?
