I shoot jugs every chance I get, and the new Rotax jugs are outstanding! Sorry for the lack of quality ... I rarely post photos on the web.

Great subject, my kind of material. Do you have a polarizer lens? That background sky could really pop out with one.

I do have and use polarizers, but the Tokina 10-17 Fish is not filter-threaded! And at 10mm you'd have to have a huge filter, anyway, to avoid vignetting. This year I was giving it a workout ... I generally use my long lenses at the yearly EAA convention at Oshkosh, but decided I wanted to try something different. I still captured a lot of the airshow, but concentrated on extreme closeups and fisheye shots. Nonetheless, I took a lot of shots of the WWII Lightening (Glacier Girl), Korean War Saber, and the just-on-line Raptor flying their formations together ... something else to capture 60 years of technology flying together!

Thank you, DaddyO! Being a week-long convention with airshows every day, cutting edge vendors, camaraderie, and over three-quarters of a million participants and several thousands of aircraft from all ages and all countries, it is something no one should miss! I consider it my "yearly dose of technology" as there is virtually no such technology in my immediate area of the Mid Ohio Valley.
