Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself to the dgrin community. We just opened up our equipment rental shop at http://www.glassandgear.com and having been a lurker here for a while I wanted to offer dgrinners 5% off. Simply use promo code DGRIN5OFF. To be honest, our Nikon selection is a bit poor at the moment but that should change as we get closer to the launch of the D3 and D300. If you have any questions about our services please let me know.

    Where are you?
    Welcome, Jason!

Just one comment -- you should mention your physical shipping location, at the very least in your FAQ. The only clue I could find was a hint that you're in the Eastern time zone. Your location can matter both for local pickups/returns and so customers know how long to expect shipping both directions to take.

And thanks for offering DGrin'ners discount!

Thanks for the input photobug. We are located in New Hampshire and currently do not offer local pickup. We're hoping early next year to launch that service. I have added that information to our FAQ. Not sure how I missed that in the first place.

Where in NH? For when you support local pick-up... :)

    I live in Nashua.

Our local pickup will most likely take place in Manchester. I'd like to have multiple locations for pickup/drop-off but thats just a dream at this point.

Although I have not rented from these guys yet, I have to add that their Customer Service is very top notch. I had a question regarding the shipping of a lens and sent an email in via their contact page. Jason himself responded very quickly and was very helpful.

Thanks guys, I hope to rent from you very soon!

Thanks for the complement. We try to provide the best customer service that we possibly can. I'm normally rather accommodating so as long as the request isn't a bit over the top there is normally some leeway with our rentals. Especially when it comes to shipping.

We're also looking for new product requests as we begin coming up with lists of equipment for our expansion. We do intend to stock an assortment of filters as well as add some Lensbaby products. I've seen quite a few requests on another thread for Olympus glass and if the demand is there we'd love to stock at least a few of the more popular Olympus lenses.

    Free 16x24" Canvas Print
    Hi Guys,

Being the holiday season and seeing as I have a HP Z3100 sitting idle at the moment I'd like to offer the DGRIN community a free 16x24" print with any rental of $100 or more. The rental must start between now and December 21st. Allow a week for the print to be made and shipped to you. Since we aren't an internet based printing shop I'm going to ask that the image be emailed or FTP'd to us. I will provide those details after your order has been placed. The prints can be on HP Collector Satin Canvas or HP Professional Satin Photo Paper. I don't have a set number of prints that I'm going to be giving away so for now I'm just going to say this promotion can end at any time, however I do want to accommodate as many people as possible. To take advantage of this deal just enter - DGRIN Free Print in the special instructions field during checkout and I'll get in touch with you.

Edit: Feel free to use the 5% off coupon. As long as the price before the coupon is $100 the free print offer will still be valid.

    Thanks,
    Jason
