Broke my P&S a few days before I left for a month to build two primary schools for my nonprofit. Used my Pentax 35 mm (old school!) instead. I finally got 6 rolls back after countless difficulties. Here they are, critiques, likes, etc. please. Thanks for looking.

On the road to Thoza

They stopped walking immediately on his command. He did a couple of karate poses for the camera

This tree was a marker for the "shortcut" we took to Thoza. It took another 2.5 hours of walking after taking it on a 10 mile walk.

They cooked sweet potatoes and casava on the fires, explaining the ash covered faces (especially considering the sticky sugar cane in on
e girl's hand)

My favorites are the impromto shot of the guy in blue with the blue background it is very pleasing to the eye. And I like the gate keeper one for the direct gaze. You've captured a lot of nice people shots.

You've got some shots that really seem to tell a story there. I think you did a fine job with your "old school" camera. Just goes to show (again) that the photographer makes the picture...the camera just takes them.

I've really enjoyed these. My sister-in-law has been in Malawi for the past year and a half. But she mostly takes pictures when she's on vacation.

Dr Mphande demonstrated how to determine when a child is ready for primary school. Once a child's arm is long enough to touch their opposite ear, it is deemed time.
