Hi! Thanks for the comment. This was shot on the outskirts of Shanghai in a neighborhood called Zhou Zhuang. Very nice canal district.

    Question
    Hi Lynn

I'm teaching here at a boarding school. I'm headed back home (USA) in July. I haven't been that far outside of Shanghai but I hope to hit Beijing and the Great Wall before I leave.

Small Tour (Inspired by San Jose)
Here's a small tour of Shanghai...

We happened upon this girl about to get on her bicycle.

    2940228-S.jpg

Later we saw some interesting food for sale...

    2940248-S.jpg

Time to get on the subway and head into downtown...

    2940232-S.jpg

    These cops are always helpful...

    2940221-S.jpg

People often take their kids to work with them.

    2940225-S.jpg

There'a a lot of construction going on here, constantly.

    2940242-S.jpg

This couple takes a leisurely stroll.

    2940224-S.jpg

Unfortunately, some of the city must make way for the new construction.

    2929208-S.jpg

What better way to end than with a sunset?

    2929210-S.jpg

I hope you enjoyed the mini-tour!!

Very bustling komet. It's hard to live in a city of 17 million.

    Inspired!
Hey guys, here are some more. This weekend I'm going out to Yu Yuan, a very cool place with traditional Chinese architecture. I'll take you there!

    Basket weaver in action.

I wanted to ride this scooter...

That is a fantastic shot, damonff. can you post larger ones?

What's the "ff" in your username signify?

    Large
Hi Fish. Thanks for the kind words. I'll post larger from now on. The ff stands for the first initials of my middle and last names. Here's the basket weaver large until I post more later.

BTW the basket guy was very cool and I have more shots of him in the process of making his basket but this one is the best because he looked at me - I got lucky.
