Here goes it. I have been racking my brain over this challenge.

    Good start!
I love the simple background on #1, but I'd go with just one interesting branch. This is a bit too many branches, I think.

I love the door. This is perfect for the topic.

#3 is too much. Just one corner is more minimalist.

I agree with Snappy. She said my words first.:D

    Nice door shot.

I added a bit of color to the lighting to give it more mystery.

The second one is definatley my favorite. It is inviting you to go open the door and see what's behind it.

Both are great minimalistic views! I can't pick just one. The first appeals to my dark side and the second appeals to my more curious side! ne_nau.gif

All of the versions of this shot are good, but the greenish light version is my favorite.

What's behind door number one? ( or is that door number two? :D)

Deffinately the door wins out, though I do like the branches shot (but maybe I'm a bit partial ?)

    hey cGuy

I really like #2 but would really love it if you could manage to not get the little bit of wall and floor in the shot --- get the door as is but in a total field of black.

I don't know if that's an exposure issue or staging issue (black fabric?) Maybe a dGrin "elder" would know? Andy? Shay? heheheh

    Kirk,
I'd like to see shot two without the floor at the bottom. I think it would be much more effective and I second what Angelo says about trying it against a complete black ground. Though I also liked how you played around with that shot and made it a shocking white.

Is this door at Area 51 in New Mexico ???? I wonder if it is true about the aliens. Are they really here?

I'm with Cletus on this one. The greenish light and black surround work very well. dark mystery with a crack of light, but the green is unsettling and speaks of monsters. Good stuff!

This one is very nice. I would black out the wall in the lower right corner.

Thanks! I am going to PS to make it even more mysterious. Get more black in the pic. Seems like that has been the thing most suggested.
