The male cardinal is pretty flashy......

....in his brilliant red outfit and little black mask.

But for a purely color coordinated outfit (feathers) it'd be hard to beat this lady..........:D

Very nice, Bud. The third image (the female with her back to the camera) would be my pick. I really like that pose and the composition.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I love the light on the bird in #2, but they are all great.

Thank you Harv. The 'composition' was purely accidental I can assure you. But I try. :D

Thanks Stephen. It was 4 degrees yesterday morning and the ol' sun was shining brightly. The air was definitely 'clear'. :D Does make the shots a little nicer.

Thanks Marina. You and Harvey eh? :D I like the colors on her back too. For me at least, I don't think they're that noticable unless the light is just right like it was yesterday.

Thank Pat, appreciate the comments. Someone on DGrin here has a 'signature' that says, "It's all about the light". Yesterday morning made me a believer. :D

#2 for me, too. Maybe crop out the botton a little (the blue & white thingy is distracting to me). Great job capturing these winter birds.

To tell you the truth, I prefer the looks of the female Cardinal over the male.

    Nice ones. :D

Thanks Scott. Agree with the cropping and will try to work with it in Elements.

Thanks Ric. I agree, with the right light she's a very colorful bird. Never really paid much attention to that before this winter.
