I've been hanging out in the graveyard again!

This time I was at the Colon Cemetery in Havana, Cuba.

These are really nice shots Moni clap.gif
I like all of them, those are quite extravagant monuments,
I'm assuming it's not on the poor side of town?

Great series Moni thumb.gif .... thanks for sharing .... Skippy :D

    Thanks Skippy!

I think this is the only cemetery in Havana.
The monuments are very big because they were for the rich families and were built before the 1959 revolution.

The second pic is on a huge monument for some firefighters who died in the late 1800s. It is a large column (75 ft high) with a statue on top. Then it has four of these statues around a massive base. It's pretty cool.

I really like the second pic--I think the sky/clouds adds to the image. Great series.

With the exception of the first picture, I think the others would have benefited from a little less exposure. I find them to be slightly " washed out " and not quite in tune with their surroundings. Exposure is, of course, a very subjective aspect of photography and everybody to their own likes.
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

This a great series. That first shot, with the statue looking up at that sky, just awesome!
