Cold doesn't begin to cover it

I had thought I'd been cold before, but I was wrong.

We were visiting Gluwater in Chicago and he took us out to the planetarium for the beautiful view of Chicago. And it was beautiful, but merely freezing would have been a wonderful respite. Needless to say we didn't spend a LOT of time out there, but long enough for me to get a pano:

Click on the image for larger version, it's worth it.
Now I just need to find someplace I could hang a 43" print! :rofl

    SUPER! clap.gif

Your pano turned out great! I was laughing at your attempts to take multi-frame panos because I couldn't stop shivering long enough to unfreeze my cable release for a single shot. But it looked like it was well worth the effort on your part.

For this image, we'll make room on the wall. :D

Reading the title, I thought, Hmm wonder where else it's cold 'cause it's bloody cold here. Hey wait ... I know that place.

And a very nice pano. Your potentially frozen fingers were worth it.:D:D

Hope you enjoyed your stay in Chicago, cold and all. If you make it back this way lemme know. I'd be fun to meet a few dgrinners.

Great shot of a classic skyline (colors/white balance are right on, not overly warm like a lot of night shots).

I like the expansiveness of this shot. It's a real looker too.

    Colder lol3.gif

Seriously, the cold that comes off the lake is like no other. Where the -22 in
Bryce is cold, it hardly compares with the lake.

    Thanks for your replies everyone!

Stuffjunkie - At one point I was afraid I HAD frozen my fingers off, but I was just over reacting to numbness.

    Ian - Yeah, I'm a wimp I admit it. I just can't take the heat rolleyes1.gif

ulrikft - You paying for the transport? I'll bring heated pants this time!

Numbness, Yeah I hate that too! Maybe I should patent that heated tripod idea.
