Stunning!! Great color, clarity and action!

Favorites are either 8 or 11--but all are great!
    Regards

    Amazing
Almost 3-D in their sharpness. You are really in the golden triangle for D-I lax shooting!

Which Sigma? I am loving the long lenses for lax (having always preferred the 70-200 before). Sometimes the fixed focal length on mine is difficult to deal with and costs me a good shot here and there, but under no circumstances am I purchasing a longer zoom. No way. That's it. No mas. I'm done. Seriously.

Ooh a D300... Can I ask a question? I just got my D300 yesterday and dragged it out to the night time girls soccer game. I wasn't sure what focus type to choose, and I had about 2 minutes to read the book. So I picked the fanciest sounding one 51pt 3-D, thinking that has to be the most accurate. but I found that I had a lot of shots that were totally out of focus, way more than usual with my D200 (which I just kept on single point, continuous focus mode with the lock time set to short).
Friday is the big first Lax game of the season for the high school team and I can't mess it up like I did the soccer game. can I ask what you have your focus controls set to? Then I'm sure my pictures will be almost a fraction as good as yours.
Thanks, from the Gobi desert of D-I lax.

I set focus to 21pt and focus selector on back of camera at center point that way I could choose which point I wanted on the fly
    What lens are you using????
    Good luck with your game

Thanks! I'll try that. For these night games I use my Nikon 300mm/f2.8
