So is there anyone left on the board that hasnt yet got a 20D ?
Me, I guess, ! Still trying to figure it all out, I guess.
Kc, your kids are adorable! Congrats on your new camera (says the one holdout for now, !).
I...must...resist, ...I must...resist..., I...must...resist!!!
(the Canonites respond: Resistance...is...futile. We...will...assimilate...you! We...will...add...your...uniqueness...to...our...collective!)

Raises hand! I've been speccing out the Canon 350D, the 20D and the Nikon D70 for weeks now. Will do a little post of my own on my conclusions so far. Hold on.
I'm waiting to be able to really spend some quality time with the camera, shoot some pics with my own CF card, see how easy it is to focus on auto as well as manual (I hear the viewfinder is a bit disappointing), check out the LCD and menus. Picture quality is still a bit of an unknown factor, and so is build quality (felt pretty solid, but is it a consistantly good workhorse or a sporadic misfirer?) and the smaller battery life is another question mark.
However, It does have some real sweet features that have me still pretty interested in it...so we'll see! The price is right and the size is definitely right , but until I get a real chance to put it through some tests myself, (or see an in-depth review with a production model rather than preview with a prototype), well...I guess I can afford to be patient just a little bit longer!
I might just surprise everyone and go for the 20D, ! Or the D70, or....
I have not got mine as of yet. Waiting to save up enought to get the 20D and the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L at the same time....Should have both in hand in two weeks...
For now I'll have to wait and enjoy everyone else's 20D pictures...

I'm very interested to hear what conclusions you've come to...
Sounds like you've done some pretty intensive research. I'll be looking forward to your post~
it will take me a while to get used to it... but here is for playing around.
Cute!
May you have many thousands of enjoyable shutter trips with you 20D

Here's my 2 cents:
I'm a Canon Fan so Nikon wasn't my eye. I've heard that the Nikon's downfall was that the ISO would only go down to 200 but don't quote me on that one.
As far as Canon, the 20D was a hands down decision. I can't say that I wouldn't like to test drive a 350D but the 20D had everything and a person like myself could ask for. It's professional grade in my opinion. I'm about to post a new thread on my results. Stay tuned.

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence that you tried~
