Hi - Common Coot ready to take the plunge... was intrigued by it's large feet!

Equipment: Nikon D50 + Nikkor 70~200VR plus TC17E-II @260mm
Settings: Aperture f/4.8, shutter speed 1/250, ISO 200
Remarks: Handheld

    Nice capture and good comp. thumb.gif The coots bill is blown though (coots are a very tough exposure) and the angle of the head keeps the eye from being being seen clearly (the coot's red eye is a positive to catch in a coot image).

    Cool Coot. Like Harry says, the whites are bright but easily fixed in Photoshop with Shadows and Highlights function. Well, I say fixed, but really, I need to say improved. :D Perhaps, they won't be entirely fixed.
