Banaue is in the northern part of the Philippines. You can see the Banaue Rice Terraces there. They said it should be the 8th wonder of the world but there are only 7. So I don't know. But the rice terraces are really nice.

March 17 we left the house about 9pm then we were in Florida bus station by 10pm. Ticket to Banaue only costs P450. The bus left for Sagada aboout 10:55pm. It was quite a long trip. 8 hours.

March 18 about 7am we were in Banaue already. When we were in Banaue already, we were very hungry so we went to Banaue Hotel and ate our breakfast there.

After eating we asked for a vehicle going to Sagada. Travel time from Banaue to Sagada is 3 hours.

The road to Sagada from Banaue is really dangerous, you might really die in there but it's really part of the adventure. Most were dirt roads but there were some improvements from my first trip there, there were more paved roads now.

The drivers there are really skilled. The travel time from Banaue to Sagada is 3 hours. Lots of bumpy roads along the way but it's ok, you will see lots of beautiful views while riding the vehicle.

If you're really scared of heights, you shouldn't look outside the window because you're going up the mountain, ravines are everywhere or you shouldn't go, Sagada is mostly all about heights, but you will be missing out big time if you don't go. About 1pm we were in Sagada already.

So we stopped at Sagada Weaving to buy bags, wallets, shirts, the bags there are really, really nice. After that we went to the Tourist Center to register and pay P10. Then we went to Olahbinan, that's where we stayed. Nice place. Room there costs only P1200 per night. That's the room with CR. Rooms without CR costs P380. So if you're on budget and don't mind sharing CR's with other people, then P380 is the room for you.

We ate at Yoghurt House, I ordered Chicken Curry. WOW! The food was really good! It was spicy and the taste was just right.

March 18 we woke up about 7am and got ready for the day. 9am we were finished eating breakfast, we ate our breakfast at Masferre's Restaurant and Inn, wow! The food was also amazing. I ordered Tocino Filipino Breakfast. After eating we went to the Tour Guide Center and asked for a vehicle and a tour guide, vehicle costs P1400, guide costs P1200. First we went to Bomod-ok Falls. To get to Bomod-ok falls, you need to go down the mountain! Going down wasn't easy. No, no.

So we went down, down, down, you'll be stepping on rocks, some stable, some unstable, you better get your act together, because if you lose your balance you'll fall into the ravine. No kidding. This adventure isn't intended for the faint of heart, you should be brave doing this.

So after about an hour of varieties of emotions we were on the foot of the mountain, and there was Bomod-ok Falls. A really, really pretty waterfalls. It was worth all the trouble. So when we got there, we rested for awhile then went swimming in the cold, cold water. Whew, was it cold! But you'll get used to it.
<a href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_LMXrpn27-dI/R-NeGhfaYRI/AAAAAAAAAbg/kqkhT8pFOYY/s1600-h/Image00060.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5180087462568550674" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_LMXrpn27-dI/R-NeGhfaYRI/AAAAAAAAAbg/kqkhT8pFOYY/s400/Image00060.jpg&quot; border="0" /></a>
The way going up was so much harder!!! It was harder 3 times!!! It took us about 2 hours to get to the top of the mountain. We saw a snake along the way, it wasn't poisonous so I wasn't crazy about it. There were little fishes on the rice fields, it's called Japanese Fish. I wonder why. The red stuffs on the rice fields are weeds. These are bad weeds because they destroy the rice fields and multiplies rapidly. So we were going up, up, up, was I out of breath. We did lots of stopovers to catch some more breath and oxygen. It was really hot!

People who lives there were just like walking in the park going up and down the mountain, it was their playground. How I envied their resistance to this hardship!
Then on we went, I was really happy when we were on top of the mountain already :) but I missed the falls and the road going there.
<a href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_LMXrpn27-dI/R-Nh6RfaYUI/AAAAAAAAAb4/ZmCufpSlg0M/s1600-h/Image00131.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5180091650161664322" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_LMXrpn27-dI/R-Nh6RfaYUI/AAAAAAAAAb4/ZmCufpSlg0M/s400/Image00131.jpg&quot; border="0" /></a>
(Look on the right side, those are the coffins, dead people were in fetal position, so they can fit there.)
So we rode the vehicle and went sightseeing, went to the caves. There were coffins in the caves.
<a href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_LMXrpn27-dI/R-NiqxfaYVI/AAAAAAAAAcA/TZ88xW_GzhM/s1600-h/Image00162.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5180092483385319762" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_LMXrpn27-dI/R-NiqxfaYVI/AAAAAAAAAcA/TZ88xW_GzhM/s400/Image00162.jpg&quot; border="0" /></a>
Then we went to Lake Danum. It was ok.

Then went to Sagada Pottery. Then went to Log Cabin Cafe.
<a href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_LMXrpn27-dI/R-NjtRfaYYI/AAAAAAAAAcY/e8mKBEt-nZo/s1600-h/Image00185.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5180093625846620546" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_LMXrpn27-dI/R-NjtRfaYYI/AAAAAAAAAcY/e8mKBEt-nZo/s400/Image00185.jpg&quot; border="0" /></a>
Then went to Masferre to eat our dinner. I ate chicken, as always, it's good. After eating we went back to Olahbinan and slept.
<a href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_LMXrpn27-dI/R-NkEBfaYZI/AAAAAAAAAcg/g38LKDrKImY/s1600-h/Image00037.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5180094016688644498" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_LMXrpn27-dI/R-NkEBfaYZI/AAAAAAAAAcg/g38LKDrKImY/s400/Image00037.jpg&quot; border="0" /></a>
(This was taken by my mom.)
March 19 I was awake about 5:30am. I was waiting for the sun to rise to take some pictures, but it was cloudy that day. It was ok. Then about 7am we prepared already because we were going home already.
<a href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_LMXrpn27-dI/R-NkZhfaYaI/AAAAAAAAAco/4dVPPv88HNI/s1600-h/Image00057.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5180094386055831970" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_LMXrpn27-dI/R-NkZhfaYaI/AAAAAAAAAco/4dVPPv88HNI/s400/Image00057.jpg&quot; border="0" /></a>
9am we were eating breakfast already, I ordered Tocino again. What a fatty.
<a href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_LMXrpn27-dI/R-NktBfaYbI/AAAAAAAAAcw/1-gT3KcI7UU/s1600-h/Image00064.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5180094721063281074" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_LMXrpn27-dI/R-NktBfaYbI/AAAAAAAAAcw/1-gT3KcI7UU/s400/Image00064.jpg&quot; border="0" /></a>
(Inside the bus)
After eating, I bought some souvenirs again then 10 am we were on the bus already. Lizardo Trans is the bus going to Baguio. We took the Halsema Highway this time. The bus from Sagada to Baguio costs P220 and the travel time is 6 hours. The road in Halsema is much better than the road in Bontoc. There were dirt roads but the roads there were quite bigger and there were more paved roads.

The ravines here are higher, the views here are prettier. The highest point is about 2200 meters above sea level.

Some of the clouds were on the roads. 4pm we were in Baguio already. 5pm we were riding Vicotry Liner already. The bus going to Manila. The bus from Baguio to Manila costs P380. Travel time was 5 hours. 10pm we were in Manila already.

Sarahscu thats a pretty boring post for this forum. Feel free to have a look at what the forums expectations are with a few different photos & some dialogue of a trip taken.

The blog entry is quite nice, though, and pretty long. I can see why there was just a link.

Whew! For a minute there I thought you were talking about his blog! I thought "well thats a mean thing to say!" but now I realize you mean that you should post the message here and not simply link to another spot.

Sarahscu I know what you mean about not wanting to type it again but you should be able to cut and paste the information here on dgrin. :) And you should because it is a good post!

We have some rules for this forum.

    * Posts should include more than one photo & they must contain a travelogue.
    * Single image posts or those without travelogue will be moved.

Without them we would have to change the forum title to "cut & paste your blog's URL here"
