Sedate Spring Break

My wife and I, teachers, had last week off for the spring break. We used our time to devote to friends and family. Not the hoot it once was, we still enjoyed our spring break very much.

First we attended our friend Brad's son's wedding. I was not the official photographer, but who can resist bringing a camera?







My buddy Brad turned my camera on my wife and I, resulting in my new favorite picture of us.



Got a few reasonable shots of the bride and groom, but I was really glad not to be working.



I LOVE this picture. It was taken at our next stop, my brother Kevin's house.



He and I stopped in at the local Tinderbox where he convinced me to buy a pipe, a Stanwell no less.



My brother, Kevin. Not being a showman, this is an appealing, atypical pose for him. He plays with Gypsy's Kiss, a great Irish band.



When visiting Costa Mesa, it is essential to stop at Oh! Those Donuts. It is, without a doubt, the best donut shop in the world. Now I know what you're saying: "Yeah, well I know a better one." Well, you're wrong. This is it. Don't believe me? Try it.



As though the donuts were not enough, then it was off to Muldoon's for lunch and Wednesday's all-you-can eat fish and chips, polished off with a Boddington's. Mmmm, that's living.

Next stop was my brother Mike's. Here's his newest granddaughter, Ava.



Not to be outdone, Emilia got her picture taken while Grandpa read to her.

After a quick stop at Samy's (bought a 7 Million Dollar Home, an ND8X filter, and a small softbox) we headed over to the Farmer's Market.

We had a great time on our vacation. Caught up with family, got some business taken care of, ate very well, bought some camera accessories, and saw a few sites. Back to work on Monday.
