    Awesome, thank you!!!

I see Phanfare hasn't released their 2.0 API yet, but it's all good, I can wait.

    Thanks for the awesome app!

Just a tiny bit off topic...

What API bug is that? I've been messing with the 2.0 API, and haven't gotten my app to work yet. Be nice to know if I'm banging my head against the wall for no reason.

I'm having a similar issue transferring from Flickr to Smugmug. I only get about 37 pictures processed out of my gallery of only 350 pictures and the processing hangs indefinitely.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Another Phanfare 2.0 refugee here...any update on being able to use smugglr with 2.0?

    Thanks so much!

I'm not sure if Phanfare will bother adding an API for that. Please simply email the phanfare support and ask them to downgrade your account to 1.0 and then you'll be able to smuggle your photos just fine. :)

I migrated from Gallery (hosted my own) to Flickr about 6 months ago. I've had enough and want to jump to Smugmug.

I've got about 20,000 pictures... they're organized like:

Pictures taken in 1997 (flickr collection name)
....01-01 New Years Pics (flickr set)
....07-04 Fourth of July pics (flickr set)

Pictures taken in 1998 (flickr collection name)
    ....12-25 Christmas (flickr set)

Since the set names don't contain the year, they don't get carried over with Smugglr. Do you have any way of importing collection names as groups and then importing the appropriate sets as subgroups?

trouble with smugglr under linux --> can't complete migration
    Hello,

When I try to migrate my Flickr account using SmuggLr, I can't complete the process.

Here's what happens in more detail:
    1) in firefox, tools->smugglr
    2) choose flickr in the drop down list
    3) login
    4) authorise smugglr to access my flickr account. Works up to here, as
    this message shows:
    L'autorisation de l'application SmuggLr a réussi.
Vous pouvez continuer et fermer cette fenêtre maintenant.

    Translation:
SmuggLr has been authorised. You can close this window.

    5) The "next" button in the bottom right corner of the smugglr window
remains greyed out. Can't do anything except close smugglr.

I'm running firefox 2.0.0.14 on Ubuntu 7.10. I tried this also on CentOs 4.5 and even WindowsXP Pro. Same result.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

    Cheers,

    Simon

trouble with smugglr and Phanfare 2.0
    Hello-

Hope I'm doing this right. I've never posted on one of these boards before.

I'm trying Smugmug because I am unhappy with Phanfare 2.0. I want to use Smugglr to bring my photos over. I've downloaded Smugglr successfully using firefox. It was able to access my Phanfare 2.0 albums and I selected one to try. Then I signed into my smugmug account as prompted. Then it gave me an error message that said the selected photsets don't contain any photos. I tried it for several of my Phanfare albums and got the same error message. There are definitely photos in all of my Phanfare albums.

    Please help :D . Thanks!

Hi -- not to dissuade you from switching, but Phanfare recently announced that they were going to offer Public albums once again.

They're not yet offering to bring back simple single-password protection for albums though, so if that's one of your requirements, you may want to stick with SmugMug.

    hi,
i am trying to transfer from phanfare 1.0 to smugmug. i've had success transferring all of the pictures from a test album, but the videos do not transfer over.

    link to phanfare source:

    link to incomplete smugmug transfer:

Phanfare 2.0 works! Would like better failure notifications...
    Yahoo! Phanfare 2.0 works!

I transferred 13 galleries (well, 13 Phanfare sections spread across 3 Phanfare galleries turned into 13 SmugMug galleries), and almost everything came through great!

However... I got the dreaded "3 images failed to transfer".

It sure would be nice if there was a link to the upload log, maybe just showing the errors? ALSO, the upload log doesn't tell you the filename of the failed file, so I'm going to have to hunt down the failed files by hand. Yuck!

Also, this is an odd error:
upload problem: wrong bytes received 55233136, expecting 0

I can understand the converse, expecting 55MB and receiving 0. But the other way around seems wrong.

Still, it sure beats downloading and uploading by hand! Thanks!

I am trying to install the plug in for Firefox and am getting a message that states it will not install because it does not offer secure updates. I am using Firefox rc1. I am sure this is the problem, but I wasn't sure if you were aware of this problem or not.
