UNITED STATES OF AMERICA; SOUTH WEST

Welcome. An introduction to this thread can be found here.

If you live in one of the states of the American Southwest we'd love to see a bit of your town in this thread.

If you are uncertain of what to post, here's a suggestion: Choose a commercial center of your village, town or city. Be it a financial district, "downtown" area or other type of market center.

We will finesse these forums as we go depending on the level of posts and participation. But most importantly let's have fun doing this!

Start your post with a title containing a) STATE b) CITY, TOWN or VILLAGE where you live.

example: ARIZONA; TUCSON

Then insert your photo and add a few lines of descriptive text to tell us about the image and your life in that location.

The ruins are an old Catholic Church on the Ghila River Indian Community. The White structure is a WWII Memorial of one of the Japanese Internment Camps that were in Arizona- also located on the GRIC near Bapchule.

Every Saturday night, rain or shine, the Scottsdale Pavillions is home to the longest continuesly running car show in America. The McDonalds is the base, complete with DJ spinning tunes from decades past and an automotive theme throughout the restaurant. The car show is an open entry without any entry fee. There is a Corvette Club as well as sections for motorcycles, imports, trucks, and anything else you can imagine.

    Maricopa Mutt March
In our little City of Maricopa, about 25 miles south of Phoenix, we just had our 2nd annual Maricopa Mutt March. A great event to raise awareness and funds for a future dog park in our fair city.
