Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve

I was lucky to get out to the Reserve yesterday - if this isn't the peak of the bloom it must be close.

    Absolutely lovely. What great colors! I saw some of these in gardens in Northern CA but I hear down south is where it's really at? ear.gif

    I've seen a field of the red poppies while in Texas. I have to say it was one of the most mesmerizing things I've ever laid eyes one. :D

    Thanks for looking. My 38 year-old son was with me and he also felt it was hypnotic - particularly with everthing moving in the breeze.
