    If you can get in early or late in the day you might get better light. I like these, but I think they would look better with a little less glare.

    Yeah, I know about the hour. Off on a drive with the Wife and decided to stop, not knowing this stuff was there. Morning would be better because there is a rise to the west that is heavily wooded.

    People around here love to use retired farm equipment like those as flower garden centerpieces. Looks like some good macro opportuities. I agree about the harsh lighting. I'd love to see the scene on a cool foggy morning.

    Yup, plenty of that around here, too. Usually in better condition.

    It is a few towns away, but I'll keep the place in mind for the right morning to do a better series.

    Don, you've got great subjects there. I love rusty old farm equipment too!

    But the lighting in your shots is a greenish, dappled lighting that really interferes with seeing these neat old pieces of the 19th century. They need to be seen up close so you can taste the texture, and see the beauty.

    Find some better, warmer light, or even bring your own own. ( This was lit by sunlight, but I added a soft, warm flash from the side to bring out its texture.)

    Consider a B&W conversion for this subject matter also.

    There are a lot of great shots there just waiting for you to capture them! Great light really helps with great subjects.
