Had a shoot last Sunday for two boys, 5 & 11. Here are some of them. You can see the rest here if your so inclined.

As some might know, I'm a sports photographer who is in the process of migrating my business model to shooting "people".

C&C welcome.

This is one of those shots that I wanted for their mom, so as you can see, it took a bit of "finessing".

The kids were almost busting a gut laughing at that horse. Laughter like that is quite contagious.

BTW: The first 2 are the same picture. Just had to do some cloning to get rid of the bystander.

    Thanks for looking Marina.

I hope you knew the guy who owned that bike in #15. Those bikers get pretty touchy about that kind of stuff after spending some time in the bar.

    Nope,

I was taking the kids picture in front of the bikes and the guy came over and offered to let the kid get on the bike for pics. Very nice...

BTW, I ride also. - Maybe my Sturgis shirt helped.

I think you did a excellent job "finessing" in #1. Now if you can finess a biker outfit on him in #14 and it'd be a killer shot since he got just the right expression and attitude.:D Good shooting.thumb.gif

    Thanks Ann,

I'm not giving up rodeos. Just incorporating a wider business model.

BTW, 3 hours after I posted the proofs, the mom wanted to order all 124 that I posted!

Wish I would have taken the time to process more of them and posted them also rolleyes1.gif

But, she was thrilled with the pics & I was thrilled to have all of them purchased. That's what I call a good shoot clap.gif

    Thanks Cuong,

I showed the little fella that pose (sort-of) when I first met up with them. He has a good memory, and it was a job to NOT have him in that pose the rest of the shoot rolleyes1.gif

Thank you Saurora, & glad to hear your smiler still works :D

The boys were great to shoot. The older one was so serious, but he was up for the shoot for about an hour, while the younger one was shy at first. After about an hour they switched & the oldest was pretty much done with it all.

You yourself have to know those are great shots just by looking at them, so I sincerely hope that (a) you get enjoyment out of this aspect of your Modified Biz Model and (b) that your MBM enriches you considerably. You are a great shooter, period. You obviously have a way with people too -- both the kids and the biker who let one of them onto his ride.

    KED,

Your always so nice about my shots.

One nice aspect of shooting this kind of photography is that you get direct feedback from either the subjects, or in this case the parents. It really made me feel good that "mom" was just giddy over the pictures. It also may have helped with that feeling when she bought every shot (124)rolleyes1.gif
