Huge print proof?

The framer that I use and I plan to donate a framed 24"x36" version of this photo to our local school board. I would appreciate a double check by any of you large print guru's to be sure the file will print cleanly. I am particularly concerned with the centering of the text. I am sure it is centered, but.....it will cause the framer grief in how she chooses to matte it if it is off center.

The file is 9.34MB @ 7920x5280 pixels. 220ppi @ 24"x36".

I can provide a link to the original file if needed.

I dunno about the technicalities, and you didn't ask, but I would lose the word "inaugural". Graduating class says it all.

Yeah didn't ask for crit but I have to say, that font is *really* hard to read.

Maybe not
Well David, if it's the first class to graduate from a particular school, I think "inaugural" might be important for the caption. Not that I know . . . just sayin'.

Maybe not is right. It is our school system's first graduating class.....ever.

Andy, I chose a color...a midtone...from the photo for the border and text. I didn't want the text to be over powering. When you say...hard to read...are you referring to the font style, or the darkness?

This is the type feedback I was aking for...yes!

color is fine, the font itself is a poor choice, IMO.

I have to agree with Andy that the font is a bit hard to read. It could stand to be a little bit darker too, but that is just my preference.

Since you are going to frame and matte it, have you considered just making the print and having someone do the writing by hand on the matte, say collagraphy by an artist? It might make it more personalized. Just a thought.

Maybe not "classy" in the "classic" sense of the word, but hey, it's a h.s.graduation. I think it works. Lot less $$$ than a calligrapher.
