What is great about your use of the flash is, you can't tell you used the flash!

Thanks, I angled the flash up alittle so that they wouldn't have a spot on their heads but yet it filled in the shadows good.

What I have found is that flashes are still quite a ways from being able to predict how much light I want. I often bounce the flash straight off the ceiling with the flash set at about +1. but, that about varies quite a bit. Sometimes it is as hight as +2. occasionally I set it at minus. What I find myself doing is taking a shot, checking and adjusting. I do that constantly.

Another thing that took my a while to grasp is the whole high speed synch issue. the presence of the flash will limit the shutter speed (in my case to 200) unless you have it on high speed synch. A couple of buttons on the back of the flash to make that change.

Congratulations!! What kind of flash did you get??
It appears it was bright and sunny outside clap.gif

One thing, i noticed your images are a bit on a softer side. What were your setting? Fun shots regardless!

I got an Olympus FL 36... And my shots were soft prob bc I was just snapping away and not holding my hands steady. I am not sure of the settings right now.... But yes, it was very bright!
