Thought I had this figured out on my own but I just can't decide which of these is the stronger image...and whether they are strong enough to compete with the amazing entries posted thus far. Any comments/critiques are greatly appreciated!

Shooting/processing info:
Took these in the morning on a local beach. We don't get great waves but a distant storm churned these guys up a bit. Zoomed in at 200mm with a polarizing filter on. Used f/22 to get shutters of 1/50 and panned with the waves. Took the shots into Lightroom and played a bit with exposure. Pushed up the clarity, vibrance, and saturation pretty high. Then a little contrast adjustment with a boost for the highlights. Sharpened and posted.

So what do you think??? Any of them worthy? Any other suggestions for the processing?
Thanks again,
E

#1 i think is the strongest. And I do like it, but I don't know how much of a contender it is w/out a strong focus point.

Another vote for #1. thumb.gif Maybe crop it from the right and see if that strengthens the composition a bit.

I'm torn between #1 and #2 but I think you need to play around with a crop on both of them. headscratch.gif

You could be in for a re-shoot to get focal point into #1. If at all possible try to find a way put a little bit of motion into the wave, but keep a tack sharp breaking top. You could try to do that with a flash or with PP.

Changed crop to set up a bit more of a diagonal. Adjusted levels and curves in CS3. Submitted in entry thread. Hopefully a bit better than the previous processing.
    Thanks!
