Hi all, I am a brand new member of this forum and a brand new "Pro" level Smugmuger. I have only uploaded about 250 images, have turned off right click and adjusted prices. Can some of you give my site a visit and give me some tips to improve it for sales?

Thanks, Dan Brown

For starters, allowing everyone to download the original image isn't a great idea to drive sales rolleyes1.gif

Thanks David, I don't know how that got changed back to defaultheadscratch.gif I reset all of the galleries to right click off and no easy sharing, now if they will just stay that way! Now, I am ready to hear what else can be done. Dan

What David was pointing out is that you should not access to your originals. They are there to be used if someone orders from your page, but it's not a good idea to allow access to them. Set your largest size to X3Large, not original.

Right click protection is merely a deterrent. Don't rely on it to protect your images - it doesn't take much hacking to grab the images.

You asked for suggestions. I'd highly recommend you take a look at this sticky - http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=52812 - in the customization forum. It includes links to some custom smug sites, as well as links to information to help you to customize. Also - follow the links in the signatures of the folks who post here on dgrin to see some additional site examples. You need to entice people to look at your photos, and I honestly don't believe that just using a standard smug look & feel is going to do that for you.
