Two of the shots I used for Digital Grin's header were taken by John (the two on the right).

The little girl is my daughter, a shot I took maybe 14 years ago:

I always dreamed of cute pink dresses and playing the piano, but she soon dreamed of soccer and became a major player. This shot was taken in my living room maybe 11 years later (how bad do you have to have the photography habit to make your living room a studio?):

Andy, I love the sensation of motion and stillness this shot conveys. The sad part is now that I have decent gear, I have nothing other than myself to blame for most of my "iffy" shots! Excellent picture.

Know whatcha mean, Marc. I peeked at Andy's favorite shots folder in smugmug and got very depressed... the man has talent!

hey thanks! i'm a big fan of trying to capture "motion" in a still picture. it's a challenge. this one came out nice, i find myself going back to it quite a bit.
