Well, as usual, this was a fantastic round! It was great to see so many very worthy images. I had a really, really, difficult time (really) narrowing my selection list to those shown below - there were quite a number of others that were on earlier iterations of the list...

Congratulations Dave!:clap

I can't wait to see what you will come up with for us in Mini Challenge #10!

I have a new appreciation for what Emily and the other judges of the DSS series have to go through when trying to make their selections...it is not an easy task.

ps. I apologize for getting this out a little late - I spent the weekend out at the New Dungeness Light House and it took longer than expected to travel home.

Congrats Dave on a lovely image and also to you Paul for coming up with such a good theme (and a big thanks for the placing. Very honoured, especially looking at the quality of the images submitted).

I love the color in the winning photo and it's a composition that really appeals to the style I've been shooting lately. It just jumps off the screen. Looking forward to see what you come up with for the next challenge Dave.

    Regards,

    Peter

Considering this was, at least for me, another difficult theme, the amount and quality of the entries is quite simply stunning! Good work people and let's see what you come up with Dave :D

Nice photo, Dave! I liked all of yours, as I commented in the thread.

Thanks, Paul, for an inspiring challenge!

As well as all the runners up, other photos I liked are, in order of appearance:

    douglas – Nucleus

    jeffmeyers – Keep in Step

    KevXman – Simply Twisted

    OhEddie – Shroom#2

    Jack’ll do – Abstract #10

davev – Minimum space (gave me a chuckle!)

I heard from Moses that he is disappointed. He thought this was one of his better “tricks”! mwink.gif

    Best to all!

Thanks Neil. I was roaming around the Uffizi Gallery in Florence last summer and saw this dead potted tree outside a set of french doors and just snapped the picture. Not bad for a little P&S Casio.
