hotlinks in gallery????

Hi There
So is the following possible?? Any tips on how to accoomplish it if so :)
I had given a client a link to their photos, but the link needed to be changed due to organiztion issues.
Is there a way to have a clickable link placed inside the link that the client has that will direct them to the sharegroup where their photos are actually at??

    A lot depends on the format of the URL that you gave the client.

    Assuming that you have a power-user or pro account, in nearly all cases, you can create a redirect (via some modification "vanity URL" hack, probably the "gallery redirect" version).

    Would you be willing to share the URL that you sent to the client? If so, then we could advise on the specifics...

    The link the client has is
    http://photography.ekpem.com/gallery/5610247_Kj5fM/1/358933562_Q8BZK

    When they get to that link--which is pw protected...I would like one of two things to happen...
    1)there is a hotlink on that page that they can click on to take them directly to the pictures in the new sharegroup..
    or
    2)this redirect you are talking about...
    Any help would be appreciated

    So for know, I just put a hotlink in the about section...hopefully they will read it :)

    That link is a bit more complicated than need be, but it's still doable. (A normal link to that gallery would be

    A couple of further questions:
    1) Do you want that gallery to still be viewable, or just to be a redirect to the Sharegroup?
    2) Is the photo 358933562_Q8BZK still viewable in that gallery?
    3) Do you want to do this again in the future, or is it just a one-off?

    hmm so why did I have such a large link...is there a way to edit that? I just copied the gallery link from share photos...??

    The gallery does not need to be visible...I would just want it to be a straight redirect to the sharegroup.

    How do I determine if the photo is still viewable? Is there a way to search? Sorry, pretty new to the in depth workings of smugmug...

    I would need to do it one more time in the next two days. Going forward, I will be sure to set things up correctly :)

    OK.

    You should implement the gallery redirect hack.

    For the redirect table, you should use 
    var galleryRedirectTable = 
 {
     "5610247_Kj5fM/1/358933562_Q8BZK" : "http://whatever.the.link.is/to/your/sharegroup"
 };
