I always enjoy first dances. I'm happy that I've already got a good part of the day done and have covered a lot of the important stuff already. It's a time to relax and try and be a bit creative.

Yup -most of these have made an appearance in other threads. But, some shots are good enough to be posted more than once (I hope some of these fall into that category).

And I remember seeing #2 of yours at some point a looong time ago. I wonder if I really did? What an awesome picture. The lighting with the video person helping out is pretty amazing.

Awesome shots David!!

Hard to compete with that .... hmmmm will need to dig in my archive for that one ...

Love your edge vignette, compositions, you acptured the perfect moments ... only thing neg. comment would be that they're a bit grainy ...

Nice shots Scott, my fav got to be #3! I wish more grooms would do that!

Yep, Angie, my favorite too...more than just a picture...it has character.

David_h, nice processing. That's the stuff that wedding albums are made of. It's the picture that would make all of the other brides wish they had hired you.

Thanks for the comments guys. I think the first dance is a great time to play around and see what you can do. There was no dancing at my wedding yesterday, or I'd post some from then.

Yes, a lot of my shots are pretty grainy. There are a couple of reasons:

Shots from last year were often taken with the Noise Machine D2H so not much choice. Problem is that I kinda like the look so now I find myself adding grain to a lot of D3 images - go figure

As some mentioned, my second shot is probably the best of the bunch. It was one of those nice times when everything just came together.

So, come on you lurkers - there must be more people with cool first dance shots to share!!
