1. Meet Irina, a young Russian lady from a remote Siberian village, who managed to get to States about only two months ago.
She is now a student in one of LA colleges.

2. She can be very active:

364647090_6Mpqi-XL.jpg

3. She can also be a bit misterious:

364646592_fgfNU-XL.jpg

4. She can get ya if you're not careful:

364646838_fzYob-L.jpg

5. But sometimes she can be dreamy:

364647129_BFxEW-XL.jpg

6. Or fairly sensual:

364646932_GFcsM-XL.jpg

7. She liked to play with my fabrics:

364688709_qVkzi-XL.jpg

8. And get rather flirty:

364688545_d2JMR-XL.jpg

9. Until she decides to calm down:

10. And become quiet again

Enjoy! C&C is welcome!

outdoor results will follow in a day or two

Great set Nik, what a boring job you have. rolleyes1.gif

Joking aside, they're all very nice, and very varied. All except for 7 and 8 - what happened to the color there? Those two really stick out, and I have to say the color cast isn't quite as flattering on your model as in all the others.

I love the poses #4, 9 & 10 as well as the light here Nik. The others are nice but "need" something. #2 I think it's the fabric distracting. #3 IMHO should be a "high glamour" look....with the strand of fine hair removed. Lovely model and settings. You sure are having lots of fun while we slave day after day working, sweating, trudging.....:D:D:D:D

Nik, I'm outta words - sincerely!!!

Some of these are the best glam pics I have ever seen...

#7 is my absolute favorite. Superb lighting and color palette (I wish #4 had the skin sheen on the face and chest, like on the face here). The expression and pose took my breath away! The background draping is perfecto! I would suggest, if I might, cloning out the wrinkles in the foot behind the sandal strap and big toe, and burning somewhat the extended index finger stretched along the toe, it's a little incongruous. And clone out the other tips of fingers at the very bottom edge. I would also suggest bringing out the scarlet color of the drape across her breasts - at first glance it looks black - so that it flows around and across her body, as it does in #8.

My next favorite is #9. Again, the pose took my breath away. A very daring shot, and it works perfectly, without any twinge or cringe. The way the hair falls is a little strange, though, at her left temple especially, where it looks a bit mashed. That small area is the highest highlight of the image, too.

#1 is very beautiful. It needs a little more sharpness, for me, in the eyes and eyebrows to make it perfect. The posing, the lighting and the crop are brilliant.

What a great model, too. iloveyou.gif from me!

In the majority, the face and eyes show an awareness of playing to you, kind of - "Take that, Nik! And this!" There's contact. Makes all the difference.

In most of those with the hanging drapes background, the slight bokeh is a big improvement in integrating them in the image. They work very well. #2 is the best example of this (although the missing arm is a big problem).

There are signs that you are freeing up height and position of camera in the studio, too. It can only lead to good things.

Well, I found a few words after all. But now I'll just go back to letting my jaw drop!

    :jawdrop

    Thanks!

Wow, Neil, hearing all this from you... I'm blown away! thumb.gif

I guess it was exactly what I said it would take - get the model low, snap on a WA lens and shoot for a dangerously close distances and from the higher angle. mwink.gifrolleyes1.gif

Poor thing was fairly wound up (if not scared) when I said - and showed - exactly *how* close I'm gonna be to her with my 10-22, esp. considering she was, uhm, not wearing much underneath that chiffon, which was a first ever for her. I guess those emotions and physical proximity kinda resulted in the "interaction" you were talking about all this time:-). Of course - it's one thing when you're in a well lit "stage" place and can't even see a guy with 200mm hiding in a dark behind a huge bright softbox, and totally another when you're lying almost naked on the floor in the darkness, under gestapo-looking pinch sharp lights and he's all over you and almost touching you with his fat ugly looking WA lens... mwink.gif

Anyway - I'm glad I was able to produce the results. I'll tweak a few things (like the feet wrinkles) - thanks for catching that up! thumb.gif

All in all, she did pretty good for a first-timer, no? mwink.gif
And wait for the outdoor part :-) deal.gifrolleyes1.gif

    Nikolai,

Very nice work. You keep this up, and your lighting class will be sold out.

So much for Nikolai not knowing about the usage of studio light. LoL. Great work Nik.

7 and 8 were the only ones that seemed mediocre to me. All the other ones were great! Keep it up! :)

Wow. Now this looks like you corrected what I was picking on you for in the last set lighting wise.
#1 my eye keeps going right to that red dot in her eye.
#3 iloveyou.gif Is that you in her eyes? mwink.gif stray hairs and cat scratch above eye distract.

Not crazy about 7 and the lines in the foot.
    I like #2, #5, #8.
    #9 toes are missing.
    #10 thumb.gif , #6, and #4 are my favorites clap.gifiloveyou.gif
In 4 she looks like a different model!
