Options

Recommended size for uploaded pictures.

What is the best size for photos upload ? I noticed if the size is too big Smugmug reduce the size. I would like people to see the original picture.

    Hi Serge, here are the display copies we make:
    http://www.smugmug.com/help/display-quality

    So if you upload for example, 1600px wide images, the X3 size will be the same as original. All the smaller sizes will be display copies we make.

    I think smugmug use different display size depending of the lcd screen size. Right ?

    It depends on the viewing style - if you use smugmug style (and certain themes, *and* you've allowed "stretchy" themes) then the size displayed will be dependent on the monitor size. Also when you click on a picture to enlarge it, the size initially displayed is dependent on the monitor size.

    It seems smugmug do a good job at resizing my pictures, they still look sharp and clean.
