    Hanging a painting
I took this photo of the wife's shadow on 10/12/2006.
I did some pp to image thus making it B&W...

    Antonio,
    Without light shadows doesn't exist.

Thanks for a nice shadowy series! thumb.gif

I just found the look of all the shadows on the road interesting. Caught my eye at the time.

    Interesting approach, nice picture!
Brings back some distant memories, too...:-)

Awesome picture! I wish it were more contrasty, but at any rate - great idea, and,of course, nice shadow...thumb.gif

Nikolai, i think you could be right about it needing a little more contrast. I was shooting with a harsh background light. Thanks for the suggestion.
Here it is again with a little more contrast:

    Much better!
If I were you, I would also lose the bottom part (where the wall hits the floor), to make it pure abstract.

Also - as an idea - what if the picture is left in color? headscratch.gif

    Nikolai,
You were right about cropping at the bottom of image. I thought about the color portion, and it seems to me that B&W gives it an original look.

    Thanks for your help......

This one has been rattling around in my brain for a while now. I was having a hard time finding an interesting shadow so I decided to to manufacture something tonight so that I could get it out my head.

There is a shadow, but it's sooo subtle... It would be the 5th or 10th thing that would come to my mind if I was asked what this image is about. ne_nau.gif

    Thank you!
#1 is a nice image, but I would have never guessed shadows are its primary subjects ne_nau.gif
#2 is more suitable in this respect (albeint it's a staple shadow shot:-), yet I think cropping even tighter would make the shadow more pronounced.
