Keywords

Last night I used Photoshop's File Browser to add keywords to a group of files. Specifically, the keyword was "cross creek", which is the name of a dirt bike track. Notice the key word is two words. When I started uploading those JPG's I noticed that Smugmug is giving me a keyword named "cross", and another named "creek". I do not know if this is a File Browser or Smugmug issue.

I know that Smugmug can handle multi-word keywords, because I already have some just like that. However, those keywords I tagged from within Smugmug.

Lastly, any quick, easy way for me to replace the two keywords with a single keyword in 736 photos?

You have to put the two or more words in quotes like this: "cross creek"
In order to easily fix this afterwards go to the bulk keyword tool and select replace. In the 1st field you put the stuff you want to replace (cross creek) and in the 2nd one the replacement ("cross creek"). Now click preview and see if it worked properly. When everything is fine click save.

    Hope this helps,

So, in Photoshop's File Browser, I should have made the keyword "cross creek"? I know that is what you do in Smugmug (I've done it before), but was not aware you needed to do that in File Browser as well.

Yep, this way SM knows when to combine keywords and when it shouldn't touch them.
