Hi-
I cant seem to figure this one out. About 2 weeks ago my domain name stopped working all together. I checked with my provider- godaddy and google- and its still up and running according to them. i havent had any other previous problems, and my subscription renewal is continuous. My smugger site still works fine, it just isnt recognizing my domain name. Any suggestions? Thanks a million.

Al - A couple things. In your signature, you have an extra '\' in your URL.
The second link works, with smugmug.com in it. But I have a feeling that you are not pointing your www record in your domain to the right place.
Do you have it set to go to domains.smugmug.com ?

Let me know if I can be of assistance. I'm not a smugmug employee, just a happy user who (sometimes) is helpful.

    Mike.

    Al,

Give me a shout on the help desk. I do work for Smugmug and I can help. I did a check on your domain and the settings look a bit odd. You have multiple A records pointed at various servers. 1 of them is ours. So that can cause you some problems.

I bet you need to change the way it is pointing.

I can make the changes for you but I will need your domain login info. You can send that to the help desk. Do not post that here.

Oh so sorry- I think thats just bad typing. I dont have one of those '/' things in my domain name or whatever- the real one is below. Do you have any ideas what else might be doing this?
    Thanks!

    Alex,

You are using a domain setup that no longer works, or should have never worked in the first place. Please see this page for more information.

http://wiki.smugmug.net/display/SmugMug/CNAME+Custom+Domain+Name+Help The first section explains what needs to be changed.

If you do need help, please send me the domain login information. I am sorry if it sounded like I was trying to shove Mike out of the way to answer your question. I just wanted you to know that if you feel safer sending your login information to me, I am here to help. I can see all of your SmugMug details and can make changes but I cannot change your domain settings without your domain login.

Please review the changes and if you still need help, please let us know. We are here to help, employee and fellow customers alike.
