i am selling this lens on behalf of a good friend, someone i shoot with all the time. i was with him when he purchased it from k&s in palo alto in nov 2004, the lens is only 5 months old and he's only used it three times. the lens is mint mint mint and i do mean mint. not a scratch on it. why is he selling? well, he just landed a canon 200 f/1.8L from chamcamera in korea :D

so, the lens goes for $1360 (after rebate, b&h price). the selling price is

$1175, included paypal and shipping in conus. international buyers are welcome, you'll pay actuall shipping charges less $20usd.

i have a 100% perfect buying/selling record here on dgrin (check the feedback thread for username andy) and also on ebay as andy99999andy. furthermore, i guarantee your satisfaction 100%.

This is a great lens. I have one and I use it all the time and have taken some of my best shots with it. I just used it to shoot the Boston Marathon, which is a very demanding sort of photojournalism situation. The lens also isn't too big. It has this push/pull design. Collapsed, it's about the same size as the 70-200 f2.8. If you watch the professional press at all kinds of events, you'll see a lot of this lens. Especially great match for a 1D MarkII.
