    Flat or tubes?

8x10 and smaller? FLAT shipping packages.
10x10 and larger? TUBE shipping packages.

    Do Not Bend?
Yes, the flat packages say "Do Not Bend" on them.

But the postman does not always read that. In case of mangling, the SmugMug Guarantee to the rescue, as always.

    Square Mounted Canvas Prints
Any chance that mounted canvas prints will be offered in square dimensions? Thanks.

If the lab had them, we'd offer :(

Right now, we don't have them but I'll keep asking, thanks!

There definitely seems to be a trend for that shape. Thanks for checking on this Andy.

    Puzzles
Hi, both puzzles on our site are being discontinued effective immediately, and a new version is coming in about 1 week.

EDIT: They'll be added as soon as we can, sorry it's taking so long :(

That's too bad. I guess I'll have to use a different provider this time. Maybe you guys should take it off the products page in the meantime...

Oh well, I need to come up with just the right set of images for puzzles anyway.

The metallics sound interesting...how do they look for black & whites?

    So what exactly is "new"
Andy - Sorry to be slow brained but the announcement (cute though it was) really didn't tell me anything. I clicked the link and could see the new full catalog but frankly it would have been nice to have a summary of what was new, and what restrictions (like we still can't have our customers do their own xmas cards which is going to be a real pain) there are?

Hi, sorry, it was late last night and I hadn't gotten to a detailed announcement beyond my blog post last night. We'll have plenty more discussion, too.

Here, I made a new thread:
    http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?p=926020#post926020

There are no restrictions on these items, they're all pro-price-able :D We beg your patience with us, thanks ever so much.

    Thanks
    As always, thanks Andy...

Any indication of whether we'll ever be able to have customers do their own cards?

And if we do them (since we can't set our own price), how are people charging for them? Are they just using PAYPAL or the like?

Heads up! New canvas stretcher bars
In the next few days, we hope to roll out new, better, thicker stretcher bars for our mounted canvas prints.

All of our 15 sizes of canvas will get the new thicker bars.

I'll post in this thread, when we flip the switch, but here's a sneak peek, with help for image preparation:

    http://wiki.smugmug.net/display/SmugMug/Canvas+Prints

The new bars are 1 3/8" thick, and require a total of 3 inches of vertical and 3 inches of horizontal canvas for wrapping (regardless of print size).
