Catholic wedding in a really nice church. I don't normally do indoor weddings but this one was in a pretty well lit church so I gave it shot.

    High Quality Shots
Don't stop now...these are great photographs...once these get out, you will be in demand.
Remember, no one may want you to take pictures, but they all want to see them.

    Thanks Ed,
I have shot quite a few outside weddings.
Now that I have the d700 with it's high ISO I am branching into indoor weddings.
Actually after shooting a lot of outdoor weddings the indoor wedding seemed pretty easy, comparatively.

That ring shot is phenomenal! Also I love the lighting you achieved inside, looks stellar.

Very nice photos & so nice and crisp!! clap.gif (I would only straighten the columns a bit in #3)

The photo in the car came out great too ... for some I don't ever get that one right and it ends up being too dark. Way to go thumb.gifiloveyou.gif

The ring shots is great! I love number 3, she looks like she was fun to shoot with.

1 small critique #5 needs a little leveling

The lighting on your group shots is impressive, what was the setup?

maybe it's just me but i'm thinking the images look too sharp. maybe it's an artifact of being sized down? great ring shot!

She took some coaxing but a very nice girl.

I thought so to but if you look closely the people are straight. I tried moving it correct the appearance of it being crooked but then the people were crooked.

Off camera softbox with SB800 then dodge and burn to even it out.

    Thanks

Hi CJ, She took some coaxing but a very nice girl.

I thought so to but the people are straight, I tried to straighten it, this is the best compromise.

36" softbox off camera with sb800, then dodge and burn to even out.

    Thanks

    Thanks Dangin.
I tend to err on the side of being sharp.
Most pics these days are not very sharp so when you see sharp ones they can look overly sharp.
I don't see any artifactson these. Anyway the originals are just right.
    Thanks for commenting.

I have to agree, that ring shot is amazing!! The whole series of photographs are pretty much amazing. I've been looking at saving for the D700......this pretty much makes up my mind.

What a beautiful bunch of photos! I especially like the b/w conversion on #4. Would you be willing to share how you acheived it? Fantastic shots, very inspirational.

    Hi Paul,
Basic remove color to black and white. Changed to strong sepia, selected the clothes of all and increased the contrast to create the silky effect on their clothes.
Did a midtone contrast reduction to increast texture on the background.
I think that was about it.

I have to agree that ring shot is pretty hot!
I also like the one with all the girls. I am still working on my formal shots set up so it is great to see wonderful ideas such as this one.

Very cool shots, what were the basic settings iso/shutter/f-stop that you were using in most of these?

Really beautiful set of photos!!! The ring shot is stunning and the shots of the bride with the children (both shots) are gorgeous. Well, they all are! So nicely done.

Sorry I'm late to the party Zoom Zoom :D. I really like these. The b&w conversion with the bride and two girls is killer. Love the sharpness..they eyes just pop. Very nicely done my friend! Way to be!

These are a nice set of photos that I'm certain the B&G will be very happy with.

I think what you're seeing with the columns might have to do with the shape of the columns and your proximity to them. In any case, these are a wonderful set of images.
