I thought a pumpkin shoot would be a fun way to explore dramatic lighting and showcase the pumpkin and it's carver. The carver does admit that his carving skill are less than exemplary. :rofl

Now the next two are of the Carver's brother. He saw the Carver's images and wanted to do some of his own...

We had a really fun time and I think the images are pretty neat.

I think I like 3 and 5 the best. :thumb

*Note: all models are 18 years or older.

Good job! number 3 is an awesome photo, and the last one is great, would be better without the pumpkin thou.... just my opinion...

I think # 5 is the best. What were you using as your one light?

You should try it again with the same lighting with the brother without the pumkin.

the lighting was a single sb-800 (direct flash for more contrast) above and behind the model triggered by the built-in flash on my nikon d200.
