Cool shots! where were you at? I was at the Rumorosa down path taking photos. Cool race isn't it? Lots of racers did not finish this year...

I chased from RM135 to RM290. My best shooting site was between the first undercross of RT2 E&W. the course tightened up with a curve. The TTs would have been a better shooting there.
At RM290 the air was still at sunset & the TTs raise so much dust, my flash was bouncing off dust with no subject capture. I left early at 5pm. I headed up Rt5 to overnite near the Salton Sea, shot the sunrise & some birds & headed home to SF. It was a good couple of days.
I've been going to the 500 & 1000 for the past few years. I love the race & the fraternity of the Yanks & the locals. The beer consumption helps.
Cool!!! I was at around RM 117 or so, yes the TT really came in fast and dusty, I had the same problems with flash, could not get a good exposure... I was working with a friend of mine, we had around 8 photogs all around the course it was fun watching what everybody turned in... since we were at the beginning almost we got the most participants...
Maybe Ill see you on the Baja 500 !!! ( I am a local... )
