A dozen random photos

A random assortment of photos from the past 2-3 months (these should all be new to dgrin, I may have posted some related photos from the same outings, but not these photos specifically).

After this, I got nuthin' - so I'll have to go out and shoot some new ones, though sleeping seems like a more attractive option right now...

#1 (Seattle at dawn from the 12th Ave N bridge, located near work):

#2 (Seattle at dawn from Kerry Park):

#3: Backlit fall colors:

#4 (Multnomah Falls in Oregon):

#5 (Snoqualmie River (middle fork) and Garfield Mountain. The lighting was awful (I was there to hike/explore more than take photos), this is the best I could salvage even though I shot with a 3-stop GND. I really liked the composition so I decided to try it even with the crappy light):

#6 (Garfield mountain, this time, with good lighting. It was shrouded most of the day and then revealed itself for a brief period):

#7 (Lake Washington sunset from Bellevue, WA):

#10 (Mountain Ash at Mt. Baker - macro):

#11 (Backlit Japanese Maple from the Portland Japanese Garden):

    5, 11, 12.

The light in 5 is great I think, the photo doesn't seem to be level though.

Great set! As others do, I look forward to your posts.

    All great but 8, 11 & 12 are my faves. I like the composition of 8 a lot. :D

#5 seems level to me, #7 is the crooked one :D

The light in #5 was fine in the foreground (which was mostly in shade), but the sky in the background was way overexposed, I had to bracket and add a 3-stop GND filter and do some masking and even then it still looks a little bright to me.

    Thanks for the comments!
