OK so I saw the thread with the ring shots and couldn't help myself :D. Used a little bit of the "poster sticky stuff" on the bottom of the rings to help them stand up...

2. Same shot, different processing...

3. Moved the flash higher and got the two shadows...

I like the comp of the third, as you can see the reference to the Love Chapter and the seam is not dead center. The rings do seem a little lost in all the text a bit though, and I prefer the one heart shadow over the two. Just my .02! I hope I can try this sometime. thumb.gif

Very nice. I like the one with the warm tones best.

An incredibly well constructed shot. It is hard to pic a fav out of the three.

I also like the different versions.

Staples calls it "Reuseable Adhesive"...kinda like play-doh but designed to put on the back of wall calendars or posters to hold them to the wall, where they fall down once a week and everyone gets to walk on the calendars :D

Thanks - it's one more thing I'll be including in my "Let's Go Photograph a Wedding" kit.

Took me (literally) YEARS to find this stuff in the US. In the UK it's "Bluetac" and you see it everywhere.

I finally discovered it here waaayyy in the back of the craft store (Michaels) as "poster putty". Strangely, it's a lot less sticky than the stuff you get in Europe... I wonder why that is?!ne_nau.gif

Still great stuff, however. It can also be useful for gettting tape residue off items and a host of other unlikely things!

It is called sticky tack. (You can get it in WalletMart in the office supply section)

I have always kept scotch tape in my bag. The first time I tried this it took forever to get a very flatly shaped set of rings to stand. I have now also added a scotch tape that is tacky on both sides....double sided scotch tape. It's clear, and I was able to cleanly remove it from the pages.

    Just a neat side tip,
I use that sticky stuff on the bottom of framed hanging prints just to keep them in place once I level them. It was a great solution to constantly out-of-level pictures hanging on a wall with stairs behind it.

I liked all 3. Each pic has it's own uniqueness. I'll have to pick me up some stick stuff as well.
