An even better question: how to make them stop.
    If not now, when?

Now, that is true. I fled to FM for a bit, and who posted to my photo?

    Yup, he did!

I have solved this, at least in Firefox:
    1. Visit about:config.
    2. Search for animate. You should find: image.animation_mode.
    3. Change value from default to once or never according to preference.

This also keeps the emoticons from moving! Ahhh! It's like turning off your kids loud heavy metal or rap music.
    If not now, when?

Once is great. Don't miss a thing, but don't have to watch it more than once. There are some cool commercials on TV or radio or billboards, but how many times do you like to watch them?

What annoys me, Andy, is that you can do it, and I can't.

I like the emoticons and stuff. My favorite commercials, they are oldies liike the coke commercial and the football player. I can't get enough of it.

Might like the new ones, but I don't watch enough TV to see them the first time. So it does behoove them to repeat them, maybe I will see them.....one fine day.

The emoticon I don't like is the cheerleader, drives me nuts...........everyone else likes it, my friends and family. I like the little guy that hides behind the chimney or whatever.

I don't like earings on men, so I ignore that one.

Etc. I lost my monopod at the seminar place yesterday. We just called, they have it and might let me have it (no emoticon, don't like loud music, either). It was doing fine on the side of my crumpler.
Then it wasn't, and this was after I, the old lady, should have left.

I think the herons have babies.

I have to shoot a baptism at 12:30.
