Everybody, Finally I couldn't do the job I mentioned in the first post. My back suffered (and still suffers) pain which forced me to rest in bed. A colleague did the job for me. Anyways, the last weekend I tried to shoot some pictures and the pain returned. Here are some samples. It was difficult to hold the 7D + 70-200… -

Re: Wow! I need a new monitor!
Don't bother - a 6bit "TN" panel, suspect sRGB coverage, viewing angle issues Not too bad a choice but be aware that it is a "Wide Gamut" monitor. Do you work in the AdobeRGB or ProPhotoRGB color spaces? If you don't, then stick to a standard sRGB color space monitor. Your life will be a lot simpler and less stressful.… -
Re: Occasional Slowness with Smugmug -over 6 months
Lately, I've been noticing long delays in accessing the Control Panel and then getting to the Sales Detail screen. Just a moment ago, it took 20 seconds to access the Control Panel and then an additional 70 seconds for the Sales Detail screen to appear after clicking on the link. I don't notice any slowness when accessing… -
Re: How does the white balance work?
If you have a custom WB capability in your camera, most do, capture a known white target with the camera and then set the WB to the target using your camera's procedure. Some cameras will even read out the apparent color temperature of the custom WB in the camera. Otherwise ... Plant a fairly large white target centrally… -
